Program Sam invites Chicago-based artist, DJ, and community programmer Zagc to Sounds Good on Dec 6 for an all night get down in a fluid state of club, techno, and everything in between. Local club purveyors DJ Trustfall and Program Sam join the bill on support duty. Condense into liquid with us.

Zagc’s approach to audio is guided by the ideal of a dancing space as a birthplace for imagination — amplified sound as a spectral bridge linking us temporarily to ephemeral, ever-present but otherwise invisible Truth. Constructed in the unmappable space between the visceral and the absurd, spontaneous moments of dancing-dreaming place us in contact with both the question and the answer. He is based in Chicago, where he makes + plays sounds and coordinates events programming at Redux.

Trustfall is a Toronto-based DJ, artist, radio host and organizer. They have a soft spot for eclectic, left-handed selections and oddball psychedelia across all genres. They organize a bi-monthly party series called Freakers Corner at Bampot House in Toronto with their collective Freakers Union.

Program Sam brings a technical, high-energy mixing style to the dancefloor, drawing inspiration from his eccentric art practice and close proximity to Detroit in his youth, the birthplace of techno. Sam is also the founder of Art Show Near Me, a Toronto-based underground community platforming spaces for art and underground sounds. "Programmatic music, or program music, is instrumental music that carries some extra-musical meaning, some “program” of literary idea, legend, scenic description, or personal drama."
