294: Marcellus Pittman, Aki and Juana Go-gó presented by roam x Standard Time

roam is thrilled to debut at Standard Time, bringing one of Detroit’s finest — Marcellus Pittman — to the venue for his first appearance (!!!) alongside an eclectic lineup of acts designed to move your body and expand your musical palate.

Marcellus Pittman is one the reasons people call Detroit sacred. A long-time member of the Three Chairs supergroup with Moodymann, Theo, and Rick, Marcellus is frankly one of our favourite artists of all time, and we’re incredibly lucky to have our city experience his magic. His sets glide from cosmic disco to deep, sensual house to gritty Detroit techno, but it’s not the genres that matter. It’s the way he moves between them. Each transition breathes. Every shift feels personal. You don’t just hear Marcellus play; you feel where he’s been. And it’s god damn BEAUTIFUL.

He’s joined by:

+ Aki (Cosmos Records) - The vinyl sage himself. A living archive of sound and one of Toronto’s most respected selectors, whose sets are rare and sacred moments. Heavy with feeling and guided by decades of obsession. As the owner of Cosmos, you can expect a masterclass in the art of selection with tracks you haven’t heard before, and might not hear again. He plays once a year, if that, so just know we’re in for a treat.

+ Juana Go-gó - A Toronto-based DJ, vinyl collector, producer, and label manager from Cali, Colombia, Juana is a true champion of Latin American music in our city. Co-founder of Sonic Sancocho, she takes audiences on a journey across Latin America, blending deeply rhythmic sounds & melodies that embody the real sabor latino. Her selections radiate warmth, rhythm, and connection transforming any dancefloor into a Latin-infused paradise.
